Workday is the system all Universities of Wisconsin campuses use to standardize and streamline finance, human resources, and research administration processes, including accounting, managing time off, completing payroll, and closing out research awards.
Employees using Workday to complete finance business processes have access to job aids and how-to videos to assist with learning the new platform. As employees become familiar with the new Workday workflows, they may have ideas for enhancements or optimizations to improve the experience. Enhancements include things like changes that improve usability or could boost workflow/process efficiency, or the addition of a nice-to-have feature.
Employees should inform their respective area’s Finance Facilitator(s) of their suggested enhancement(s). The Finance Facilitator(s) can then submit an enhancement request.
The UW–Madison Division of Business Services collaborates with the Workday and Enterprise Solutions team (WEST) to manage the financial modules/business processes in Workday. Business Services will collect and review enhancement requests, then consult with WEST to make recommendations to Workday.

Enhancement requests for finance are submitted through the Kuali web form linked below. Please note not all requests received will be moved through to production.
Note: Requests may only be submitted by Finance Facilitators and members of the Administrative Council. Employees should inform their respective area’s Finance Facilitator(s) of their suggested enhancement(s).
Data and report requests
Data and reporting enhancement requests and suggestions are submitted through Ivanti.
The governance teams will review the requests on a regular basis and prioritize them with other initiatives.

Report issues/bugs/fixes for Workday through the GetHelpUW portal.
The portal is used to:
- Report system outages or issues with slow system performance
- Submit requests for bug fixes
- Request a new location or edit an existing location in Workday
