Business Services Training provides relevant courses and resources to ensure that UW-Madison employees have the knowledge and skills to perform their purchasing and financial responsibilities accurately and efficiently.


Annoucements

The Guided Expense Tool (GET) is being decommissioned on September 30th. After that date, all expense reimbursements will be submitted using e-Reimbursement. Attend a session on how to use e-Reimbursement to submit expense reimbursements. It is intended for those who are more familiar with GET or for those who would like an e-Reimbursement refresher.

Annual Custodian Funds Refresher Training

Custodian Funds Refresher Training is not available at this time.

It is typically available in December for people who have previously completed in-person Custodian Funds Training.  Check back or email cstdnfnd@bussvc.wisc.edu with questions

Annual Purchasing Card Refresher Training

Purchasing Card Refresher Training is not available at this time.

It is generally available in September and October for people who have previously completed in-person Purchasing Card training.

PCI Compliance – Annual DBR/Site Manager Renewal

This annual renewal training is for people who have previously completed the in-person training called Merchant Card Processing: PCI Compliance for New DBRs and Site Managers. To request help accessing this online renewal course, please email pci-help@bussvc.wisc.edu.

How to Cancel a Registration

Registrations should be canceled 36 hours or more in advance of the session by following these steps:

  1. Visit the Learning and Talent Development Website and log in using your NetID/password.
  2. Select “Learning.”
  3. A list will come up showing the classes you are registered for.  At the right of each class is a “cancel” button.
  4. Select the cancel button.

If unforeseen circumstances develop and you must cancel less than 36 hours in advance, please email dawn.rekoske@wisc.edu

How to View your Learning Transcript

  1. Visit the Learning and Talent Development website and log in using your NetID/password.
  2. Select “Learning.”
  3. Select “Transcript,” immediately above your list of current registrations.

How to Change your Information (i.e. Department) in the Registration System

If you ever go to a UW training/event and receive a nametag that indicates your past work unit rather than your current one, or a work unit that is very vague (“administration”), you can update your information in the Office of Talent Management (OTM) registration system very easily.

  1. Visit the Learning and Talent Development website and log in using your NetID/password.
  2. Select “Learning”
  3. Select “My Personal Information.”
  4. Select the piece of information you would like to change (email address, department, school, etc.) and enter the updated information.
  5. Select “Update” to save changes.
