The mission of the Division of Business Services is to support UW-Madison’s institutional responsibilities of higher education and research. Business Services offers a broad range of services and transaction processing to campus, including accounting, internal auditing, risk management, purchasing, materials distribution and surplus property management, and tuition and student loan services.

Departments
Accounting Services
Provides financial services for the UW-Madison including the processing and reporting of accounting data.
Bursar's Office
Provides student account, cashiering and student loan services to customers.
Content Management, Communications, and Training
Provides content management development, strategic communications, and training development for division and users.
Financial Internal Control Advisory Services
Safeguard University assets, ensure the reliability and integrity of financial information, ensure compliance, and promote efficient and effective operations.
Purchasing Services
Provides strategic procurement and vendor management for UW-Madison.
Risk Management
Serves as the insurance office for UW-Madison, including Property, and Liability.
MDS
Provides warehousing, e-commerce ordering for purchasing contracts, and distribution services for campus.
Surplus with a Purpose (SWAP)
Promotes the sale, reuse, and environmentally-friendly disposal of the State's surplus property.
