On Tuesday, April 7, 21 North Park Street will be used by the City of Madison as a polling location for District Wards 54 and 67.
After the polling takes place on Tuesday, the building will be considered contaminated and will need to be cleaned by custodial staff. Therefore, the building will be closed to campus personnel and building occupants on Tuesday, April 7 through Wednesday, April 8. As a precautionary measure, the building will reopen on April 9.
This decision is based on guidance and recommendations issued by Madison & Dane County Public Health (https://publichealthmdc.com/coronavirus), along with CDC guidance for custodial staff to “wait 24 hours before cleaning and disinfecting an area exposed to the coronavirus.”
If you should need to enter the building between Tuesday, April 7 and Wednesday, April 8, please contact Dan Langer or Matt Hanson.
For building occupants:
Mail will be available for pick up on April 6, and will resume on April 9.
For campus personnel:
The building will be open on April 6, for dropping off and picking up inter-department envelopes, and other business-related materials. The building will open again on April 9.
A notice will be posted on this website and sent to the building contacts of 21 North Park Street, once it is safe to enter the building.
Thank you and stay safe and healthy.
